Tipton Hill is an acoustic mountain music group from the Asheville, NC area. The band consists of George Buckner on banjo and vocals; Chris Sharp, who is a Grammy award winning musician from the "O' Brother, Where Art Thou?" soundtrack, on guitar and vocals; and Kevin Sluder on bass and vocals. Tipton Hill plays a range of music from an older country sound to a more traditional mountain sound. Formed originally in 1996, the band centers heavily on vocals with 3 part harmonies and duets. There are a lot of familiar tunes, some you probably haven't heard mixed with some originals that you almost definitely haven't heard.
